The Cabinet of Grenada has officially approved our committee's request to proclaim the 1st Saturday in August as READ ACROSS GRENADA DAY!!

We thank the Government for this important acknowledgement of our educational initiative to help develop the youth by way of "Access, Awareness & Empowerment" and thereby cultivate opportunities for their growth. 

READ ACROSS GRENADA  - Initiative for the Primary School Students!

Initially 1,120 Students will benefit from Reading Activities; Distribution of Books; Book Bags and School Supplies.

Join the initiative to put books in the hands of children and "Open a World of Possible" by helping them to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning


In addition, ALL student will benefit from the books we plan to provide to the Primary Schools!  Each school will receive 100 books!!

GRENADA ALUMNI INITIATIVE

"PAVING A PATH FORWARD" Mentorship Program for 230 Secondary School Students.

Reunion Registrants and other Volunteers will become Mentors to  the students through their remaining secondary school years.  


The GRENADA PUBLIC SERVICE COOPERATIVE CREDIT UNION is Collaborating with the 2015 Alumni Week Steering Committee and is the OFFICIAL SPONSOR of the Students in the Mentorship Program.  Through its EXCEL Student Program, GPSCCU will open an account, with a $25 deposit, for each of the Mentees.


















The Excel Club is backed by the Ministry of Education and is aimed at encouraging good performance in academics as well as participation in approved sporting, athletic and artistic activities. Students achieving an "A" average on their report card at the end of the term will receive $25 to go towards their Excel account. Students will be eligible to win many attractive prizes based on their regular and consistent saving.  Upon graduation from secondary school, the students' Excel account will be turned into a full membership account and students can be entered into a draw to have their tuition paid at the T.A. Marryshow Community College.
